Holy SHIZZZZNITS!!!

It's Snowing!!! For once the weather people were actually right!!!

My sister, nephew and niece stayed the night with me last night... so this morning when my nephew woke up at 6 am we awoke to a blanket of white!
6 am and Layla's first time in the snow! She loves it!

Layla whining at the bedroom door to go back outside.... She has not stopped doing this since 6 this morning! She's like a kid.

Virginia Beach NEVER gets snow..... and I mean NEVER (well not really... but the last time we had a big snow storm here I was in middle school (over 15yrs ago) and my sister and I took pictures out in the snow with our bikini's on... yes I know classy!)

Last three times they called for snow here they cancelled schools and closed some places of business just to get smacked in the face with sun shine all day! (it gets a little ridic. over here at the beach when snow talk is in the air.)

I on the other hand am EXCITED about it! Because that means I don't have to feel totally guilty about being a complete sloth all weekend! =) Thank goodness I have extra fire wood stocked up. Now I just need to go to the store to pick up some food products and I will be A-Okay!

is this day over yet...

O.M.G.. today is going by so slow! And on top of it co-workers are being super buggy today, and to be honest I can't really take it mentally!

I will admit it .. I woke up in a pretty foul mood this morning!

And even though I don't have kids.. I feel like a single parent with two dogs! (I hope I have more patience when I have a child.)

With Chris being gone I feel like I am super rushed in the morning having to get myself ready.... letting the dogs out... feeding the dogs... doing a quick run through to make sure everything is picked up around the house and then letting them back out again!

Layla for some reason WILL NOT go #2 for me in the morning at all! (my serious face is on when I say this folks.) And it's not like she just goes outside on her own.... no no no that's to easy. She has to have someone go out there with her, or else she just stands inside the screened in porch.

She never gives Chris this problem at all. Chris thinks it because she feels rushed when I take her out, which is probably true. But I don't feel like standing out in the pouring down rain or in the freezing cold while I watch her do her business!

Not only that Chris smokes, so when he takes her out he also has a reason to go out.

I am just ready for the day to be over!

my weekend...

Friday:

Spent pretty much all day at Home Depot buying stuff to start "re-doing" Christopher's kitchen. Let's just say... it's a work in progress! Hopefully I will have before & after pictures soon! =)

Saturday:

Every year in January, Virginia holds what they call restaurant week!
This past week was Virginia Beach's turn. There is a list of certain restaurants that participate and they all have three course meals for $20 - $25 dollars!

So I met two of my girlfriends here... I love trying new places..

I ended up getting the lime chicken skewers for my appetizer.... the grilled salmon with spinach for my entree and vanilla creme brulee for dessert! It was all amazing! Including the Jelly Bean Martini that I had! I think I am going to take Chris there for Valentines Day!

Sunday:


It was 65 degrees out, so my sister and I took the kids to go to the Science Museum. They had a blast... so here are just a few of the pictures that I took while we were there! =)

Don't ask about why my nephew is doing the Vanna White pose, apparently that is his new signature move when the camera goes off!
